Job Summary
Conduct site surveys and perform continuous surveillance of construction activities to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and specifications. Monitor quality control procedures, document nonconformance, and analyze data to determine appropriate resolutions. Search for physical survey evidence such as building ties and monuments, then compile field data into reports for project designer review. Carry out well-defined inspection tasks while working in flexible, team-oriented environments that require weekend and night shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, post-secondary degree or diploma in civil engineering or related field
- Designation as determined by OACETT as a Road Construction Senior Inspector (rcsi) Technology/Technician
- Previous engineering/construction experience
- Prior experience working on municipal or MTO projects
- Able to work on weekends and nights, as required
Desired Qualifications
- Engineering university/college student
- Registration as a Professional Engineer or Engineer-in-Training with PEO as a Technician or Technologist with O.A.C.E.T.T.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Proficiency with MS Office
