Job Summary

Conduct field construction inspections and documentation for active roadway and bridge projects, performing tests to verify contractor compliance with contract specifications. Prepare detailed reports on inspection progress and testing results, record daily forms, and review all submissions for accuracy before forwarding. Resolve problems at the lowest level by communicating effectively with clients, contractors, and supervisors while maintaining daily job site safety reviews. Adhere to OSHA standards and corporate policies, ensuring all activities meet applicable industry requirements. Submit weekly timesheets, mileage, and expense reports on time. Requires valid driver's license, ability to pass certifications, and willingness to work in various weather conditions including potential night shifts.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience working in a construction related field
  • Highschool/GED
  • Ability to understand construction plans, specifications, and procedures
  • Demonstrate basic math skills, including geometry and trigonometry
  • Possess the ability to read, write, and communicate fluently
  • Work effectively as a team member
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to pass and maintain required certifications
  • Must be physically capable of performing field inspections
  • Willing to work in various weather conditions
  • Willing to work night shifts
  • Willing to work varied work schedules
  • Must be able to resolve problems at the lowest level
  • Must understand and adhere to OSHA Safety Standards and corporate policies
  • Must ensure compliance with all applicable industry standards and client requirements
  • Must be able to prepare detailed and timely reports
  • Must be able to record and report daily forms per project requirements
  • Must be able to review all work for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting
  • Must be able to maintain necessary records, measure field quantities, conduct field tests, and other tests as required
  • Must be able to submit accurate timesheets, mileage, and expense reports on time each week
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, staff, and supervisors
  • Must be able to review job site safety daily and take immediate action to document and resolve issues
  • Must be able to perform field construction inspection and documentation services on various commercial, municipal, institutional, and/or heavy highway and bridge projects
