Construction Inspector II

Job Summary
Conduct field construction inspections and documentation services on commercial, municipal, and highway bridge projects while maintaining OSHA safety standards and corporate policies. Prepare detailed daily reports, record forms, and measure field quantities to verify contractor compliance with contract specifications. Resolve site problems at the lowest level and communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and supervisors. Submit weekly timesheets, mileage, and expense reports accurately. Work independently on less complex activities and assist experienced inspectors on active roadway assignments. This role requires physical capability for various weather conditions, potential night shifts, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience
- Highschool/GED
- Ability to understand construction plans, specifications, and procedures
- Demonstrate basic math skills, including geometry and trigonometry
- Possess the ability to read, write, and communicate fluently
- Work effectively as a team member
- Complete daily reports by hand and computer
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to pass and maintain required certifications
- Pre-employment drug screening
- Background and motor vehicle checks
