Construction Inspector I

Conduct field construction inspections and documentation services on active roadway and bridge projects, assisting experienced inspectors with complex assignments. Prepare detailed reports, record daily forms, and measure field quantities to determine contractor compliance with contract specifications. Review work for accuracy prior to submission, maintain necessary records, and submit accurate timesheets, mileage, and expense reports weekly. Resolve problems at the lowest level while communicating effectively with clients, contractors, staff, and supervisors. Perform daily job site safety reviews, take immediate action to document and resolve issues, and adhere to OSHA Safety Standards and corporate policies. This entry-level role requires physical capability to work in various weather conditions, including potential night shifts and varied work schedules. A valid driver's license and ability to pass required certifications are essential.
