Job Summary
Measure distances, verify levels and alignment, and observe work in progress to ensure procedures and materials conform to specifications. Prepare material samples for laboratory testing, examine finished installations for conformity, and interpret plans to discuss deviations with contractors. Maintain daily logs of activities, record material quantities for pay estimates, and manage documents using electronic platforms while upholding construction safety practices. Monitor multiple work activities sequentially to ensure compliance with regulations. This role requires 0-4 years of inspection experience and offers a salary of $20.00 - $26.00 per hour in a hybrid environment in Wichita, KS.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 0-4 year of construction inspection experience
- Experience in construction, inspection, material testing, or transportation engineering for highway projects structures on state KDOT, municipal, and/or municipal projects
- A safety-first mindset
- Strong writing, listening, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with peers, clients and contractors to solve problems and conflicts
- Ability and desire to lead
- GFT does require the successful completion of a criminal background check for all advertised positions
- Location: Wichita, KS

Desired Qualifications
