Job Summary
Inspect, observe, and ensure construction projects including road construction, mass grading, excavation, and bridges are completed according to contract plans and specifications. Interpret plans and specifications for contractors and clients while preparing and maintaining records of inspections, letters, and reports for roadway and bridge projects. Identify contract changes and assist in preparing change orders, traveling to project sites as required. The role requires good knowledge of construction practices and equipment, particularly in roadway grading, paving, and bridge operations, along with a clean driving record. Idaho Transportation Department IQP qualifications or willingness to obtain them are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Good knowledge of the practices used, and the equipment required on construction projects, particularly in the areas of roadway grading, paving and bridge operations.
- Strong ability to work independently and take initiative.
- A clean driving record.
- Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) IQP qualifications or willingness to take required exams to obtain them preferred.
