Job Summary
Inspect construction activities to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, safety requirements, and contract requirements. Perform daily site inspections and document project progress using required reporting methods and forms. Review contractor submittals, technical proposals, progress documentation, and modification-related materials. Monitor schedules, identify delays or deficiencies, validate stored materials, and report performance concerns to appropriate government personnel. Coordinate with project stakeholders to support milestone inspections, reporting, and resolution of construction issues. Assist with weekly activity reporting and help ensure construction activities align with applicable standards, codes, and regulations. This role requires a Tier 1 Background Investigation, Common Access Card, and ICC certifications in commercial electrical, mechanical, or plumbing inspection. Located in Del Rio, TX, this position supports facility and infrastructure projects within a government environment.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to obtain a Tier 1 Background Investigation and Common Access Card
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum eight (8) years of experience as a commercial construction superintendent or equivalent qualifying experience
- ICC National Commercial Inspector (B2) certification
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English
- Current ICC Commercial Electrical Inspector (E2), Commercial Mechanical Inspector (M2), or Commercial Plumbing Inspector (P2) certification
- AutoCAD Certified Associate (ACA) or E4Clicks Introductory course certification
