Job Summary
Conduct construction inspections for bridge and roadway projects, including reinforced concrete, structural steel, and surfacing work, ensuring contractor execution aligns with plans and federal documentation standards. Coordinate day-to-day inspections, schedule project teams, and lead quality and quantity documentation through project closeout. Prepare inspection records and reports while mentoring less experienced staff and serving as a subject matter expert on construction standards. Review project plans and specifications to support the rehabilitation of the County's six Willamette River bridges. Work Monday through Friday from the Bridge Shop or field with opportunities for ad-hoc telework.
Required Qualifications
- Equivalent to an Associate degree from an accredited college with major course work in engineering, surveying technology, construction management, or related field
- Three (3) to six (6) years of increasingly responsible experience in public works bridge and roadway construction inspection
- Valid driver license
