Job Summary
Conduct construction site inspections and evaluate contractor work to detect deficiencies and ensure conformance to design specifications. Perform field density testing using nuclear density gauges, fresh grout and concrete sampling, shotcrete testing, and coring. Execute laboratory testing including Atterbergs, proctor tests, and sieve analysis while managing data, equipment maintenance, and sample organization. Communicate testing results and failing tests to contractors or site supervisors, and prepare daily field inspection reports documenting project activities. Confer with supervisors on plan preparation, acceptance testing, and evaluation of field conditions. Requires a valid Class D driver's license, significant travel, and occasional weekend work.
