Job Summary
Conduct daily site reviews and inspections across projects in the VA/DC region to ensure adherence to health and safety policies and procedures. Administer the Site Health and Safety Program, verify training completion, and lead incident investigations through witness interviews and documentation. Support the Project Manager by developing project safety programs, providing site orientations to subcontractors, and implementing the Energy Based Safety System with weekly high-energy control assessments. Review Activity Hazard Analyses, manage vehicle compliance, and coordinate corrective measures from video surveillance findings.
Required Qualifications
- BA / BS degree in engineering, safety, health sciences, or equivalent, or have equivalent experience in an occupational safety capacity
- 5+ years' health and safety experience with health and safety compliance
- Experience in the Construction industry
- CHST is required
Desired Qualifications
- Industry Credentials such as ASP/CSP
- A moderate level of IT skills with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint applications
- Patience and diplomacy; the position requires a collaborative approach
- OSHA 500 Certification
