Job Summary
Lead finish carpentry operations from mobilization to close-out by training crews, standardizing workflows, and providing hands-on technical direction to ensure quality and speed. Manage daily and weekly field schedules, produce progress updates and look-ahead reports, and communicate material and manpower needs to Project Managers. Enforce safe work practices, resolve sequencing issues, and foster relationships with trade partners while working in adverse weather conditions. Maintain high attendance, communicate professionally, and uphold core values of integrity and ethics across the team.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years experience in the construction field
- Preferred expertise in finish carpentry, trim installation, or high-skill scopes
- Proven experience directing and developing field crews as a Foreman, Lead Carpenter, or similar
- Demonstrated ability to train and mentor the performance of carpenters and laborers with varying skill levels
- Strong ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents
- Strong communications skills with a solution driven attitude
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a valid driver's license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform very heavy work -- routinely lifts 25-75 lbs., occasionally lift 76 lbs. to greater than 100 lbs.
- Ability to perform work during prolonged standing up to 8 hours; frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motion also required
- Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines
- Must be able to work overtime, if necessary
