Job Summary
As a key leader in the construction sector, the Construction Foreman oversees daily operations on commercial and residential sites, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and within budget. Responsible for supervising construction workers and subcontractors, planning schedules, maintaining safety, and enforcing regulations, the role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as a solid understanding of construction processes.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on construction experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/foreman role
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, tools, and equipment
- Experience in commercial, residential, or underground utility projects
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical drawings
- Solid understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and compliance
- Familiar with Bluebeam is required
- OSHA 30 certification preferred (or OSHA 10 minimum)
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency with jobsite software, mobile apps, or digital reporting tools (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, Bluebeam, etc.)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules and multiple crews
- Ability to solve problems on the fly and maintain productivity under pressure
