Job Summary
Establish customer relationships for construction services and educate clients on the repair process. Analyze labor, material, and time requirements to create accurate sketches and initial scopes of work. Identify finalized project scopes, assemble organized estimates, and communicate pricing to the Project Manager. Work with external resources such as structural engineers and inspectors to ensure bid accuracy. Maintain superb interpersonal skills while navigating challenging situations and frequent travel. This full-time role involves on-call rotation, weekend work, and local to out-of-area travel.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of previous construction estimating and/or insurance adjusting experience
- Strong background in negotiation and conflict management
- Superb customer service track record
- Have clear and professional communication-both written and verbal
- Proficient use of XactimateTM estimating software
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Must have a good driving record
- Must be comfortable working hard in challenging situations
- Must enjoy meeting new people
- Must be self-motivated
- Must be highly dependable
- Must be available for on-call
- Must be available for weekend work
- Must be willing to travel (primarily local, some out-of-area and overnight)
Desired Qualifications
- Insurance claims experience is a plus
- BA in engineering, construction science, or a similar relevant field preferred
