Job Summary
Senior Estimator for senior living, healthcare, and multi-family construction responsible for preparing conceptual and hard bid estimates, reviewing drawings/specifications, soliciting subcontractor pricing, performing quantity takeoffs, analyzing scopes, and developing project budgets. Collaborates with Project Managers, subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and ownership teams throughout preconstruction and bidding; generates RFIs, coordinates scheduling and constructability with field operations; participates in value engineering and turnover of awarded projects with documentation. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and experience estimating commercial construction; proficient in Excel, Word, Sage, and PlanSwift.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or related construction estimating experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience estimating commercial construction projects
- Experience estimating senior living, healthcare, multi-family, apartment, assisted living, independent living, memory care, skilled nursing, hospitality, or mixed-use construction projects
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Experience preparing quantity takeoffs, budgets, and subcontractor bid evaluations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Sage
- Experience using construction estimating and takeoff software such as PlanSwift
