Job Summary
Estimating electrical projects from bid preparation through closeout documentation; perform quantity takeoffs, input into estimating software, review vendor/subcontractor quotations, monitor material pricing, assess addenda, conduct site visits or walks, review bid/construction schedules, draft and submit proposals, and participate in weekly estimating team meetings. Requires strong financial analysis, conceptual estimating, and communications skills; minimum 5 years as an electrical estimator with a two-year technical/related degree (or associate-level background) and valid driver’s license; travel up to 10%; background/ MVR/drug screening may be required. Prior construction management experience and construction-industry familiarity preferred.
Required Qualifications
- A working knowledge of electrical construction and theory at a level normally acquired through completion of an electrical training program, two-year technical or business degree or related field; and 5 years' experience as an electrical estimator.
