Job Summary
Construction Estimator specializing in earthwork, utilities, bridges, concrete, and asphalt. Responsible for providing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, collaborating with project managers, architects, engineers, and stakeholders, and ensuring projects are completed within budget and on schedule. Responsibilities include reviewing blueprints and specifications to identify project requirements, identifying risks in estimates and developing solutions, utilizing B2W software to develop bid estimates, conducting site visits, reviewing bids from subcontractors and suppliers, preparing detailed cost estimates and proposals, and monitoring project budgets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field
- 5-10 years of proven experience in construction estimating
- Proficiency in B2W cost estimation software, Agtek, and various Microsoft tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents
- Knowledge of civil construction materials, methods, and practices
- Understanding of construction contracts and legal requirements
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
