Construction Estimator - MEP

Job Summary
Analyze drawings and specifications to perform material take-offs and unit cost pricing for detailed estimates on small to medium-size MEP projects. Solicit subcontractor bids, review Requests for Proposals, and resolve quantity discrepancies while tracking adjustments. Perform basic red-lining of documents and assist in developing project updates and bid package comparisons. Present estimate data and respond to questions from internal departments. Mentor junior estimators as needed. This role requires 4+ years of mechanical construction estimating experience and proficiency in Quick Pen Auto Bid Mechanical or related estimating software.
Required Qualifications
- 4+years of experience in mechanical construction estimating
- Ability to read and understand specifications and drawings
- Strong knowledge of construction costs and principles
- Knowledge of Quick Pen Auto Bid Mechanical and/or other related Sheet Metal Estimating software
- Ability to interpret computerized cost data and systems
- Ability to read and understand specifications and drawings
