Job Summary
Prepare budgets and bid proposals for multifamily, commercial, and residential construction projects by taking off square footage for specialty concrete subcontractors. Download digital plans to calculate items within scope, enter data into estimating software, and coordinate material and labor takeoffs in the Estimating database. Communicate with contractors, project managers, estimators, and architects via email and phone to acquire accurate information for timely bids. Work with sales staff on the bid process while multitasking to meet critical deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3+ years estimating experience
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Computer Aided Design, Blueprint reading
- Excellent planning, organizational and communication skills necessary
- Ability to multitask and work with critical time restraints to provide bids before deadline
Desired Qualifications
- College Degree a plus
- Working knowledge of Planswift a plus
