Job Summary
The Construction Estimator will perform quantity takeoffs from construction plans and conduct site visits primarily for insulation and drywall projects. Responsibilities include building labor and material estimates, writing professional proposals, clarifying scopes with builders and contractors, and creating operational handoff packages. Candidates should have strong organization skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel, with a willingness to learn. Occasional site visits are required.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read residential and commercial plans and details
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic plan review tools
- Clear written and verbal communication, strong organization, and attention to detail
- Able to visit active job sites as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in construction estimating or a closely related role
- Background in insulation, drywall, steel studs, painting, or gypsum floor underlayment
- Familiarity with Bluebeam, On Screen Takeoff, or The EDGE
