Job Summary
Construction Estimator based in Goldens Bridge, NY for healthcare and critical infrastructure projects. Primary duties include detailed quantity takeoffs, bid preparation, buyout, preconstruction support, subcontractor and vendor solicitations, unit pricing, budgeting, cost analysis, and involvement in post-bid clarifications/actions. Coordinate with preconstruction teams, architects, engineers, and consultants; review bid documents, bonding, insurance, and MWBE participation; develop subcontractor and vendor pricing; prepare preliminary schedules and value engineering opportunities; and finalize pricing and purchase orders. Requires 3+ years of estimating experience and proficiency with estimating software (OnCenter Takeoff, Sage Timberline or similar). Occasional site visits with an office-based role.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of construction estimating experience
- Experience performing detailed quantity takeoffs
- Experience estimating healthcare, hospital, medical facility, or other critical infrastructure construction projects
- Experience with commercial ground-up and renovation construction projects
- Experience reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Experience soliciting and leveling subcontractor and vendor proposals
- Strong financial, budgeting, and mathematical skills
- Experience with construction estimating software
- Experience with OnCenter Takeoff, Sage Timberline Estimating, or similar estimating platforms
- Ability to work out of the Goldens Bridge, NY office daily
