Job Summary
Electrical project estimation from bid preparation through job closeout; performs quantity takeoffs and entries into estimating software; solicits and reviews vendor and subcontractor quotations; reviews current material pricing levels and addenda; site visits/walks; reviews bid/construction schedule; drafts and submits proposal documents; follows post-bid closeout procedures; attends weekly estimating team meetings; performs other tasks as assigned. Preferred qualifications include construction management degree and experience in the construction industry. Skills emphasized include excellent human relations, confidentiality, conceptual estimates, financial analysis, and strong oral and written communications. Requires valid driver’s license and travel up to 10%; background/credit/MVR checks may be required; equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- A working knowledge of electrical construction and theory at a level normally acquired through completion of an electrical training program, two-year technical or business degree or related field; and 5 years' experience as an electrical estimator.
