Job Summary
Construction Estimator at an Atlanta-based general contracting and construction management company focusing on providing estimating services for all projects. Responsibilities include reviewing and analyzing drawings, specifications, proposals; prioritizing bids; determining bid bases; coordinating with architects, subcontractors, and material bidders; preparing detailed work summaries per divisions; finalizing bid books; and assisting in project buy-out and startup. Requires reviewing bids, ensuring bid coverage, and communicating with the project team. Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management and 2–5 years estimator experience with proficiency in blueprint reading, quantity take-offs, and project-management software.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred
- Experience with conceptual estimating, writing detailed scopes of work, reading blueprints, performing detailed quantity take-offs
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Prolog, Procore, Suretrack, Fastrack, Project, OnScreen take-off software
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects
