Job Summary
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and operational issues on construction equipment including dozers, telehandlers, aerial lifts, and utility vehicles. Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, scheduled service, and repairs on diesel, gasoline, and LP-powered machinery while completing maintenance records and repair documentation. Troubleshoot performance concerns to determine root causes and support equipment readiness for active industrial and commercial construction projects. Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment by following manufacturer recommendations and company standards. Work closely with operations teams to prioritize needs and promote safe work practices in a fast-paced shop environment.
Required Qualifications
- Experience repairing heavy equipment, construction equipment, industrial machinery, agricultural equipment, or related mechanical systems
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working on aerial equipment, telehandlers, or material-handling equipment
- Hydraulic troubleshooting and repair experience
- Diesel engine maintenance experience
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Basic personal mechanic tools
- Chauffeur's License or willingness to obtain one
