Job Summary
Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and overall execution for commercial mechanical construction projects. Coordinate HVAC and plumbing installations to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget by reviewing drawings, specifications, and commercial documents. Monitor progress, communicate updates to managers and field teams, and assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and procurement. Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors to resolve challenges and maintain productivity while ensuring compliance with safety standards and quality requirements. Manage project closeout activities, including punch lists and turnover packages. This role requires 30–40% travel to project sites throughout the DMV area.
Required Qualifications
- 0–2 years of experience in commercial construction project coordination or project management
- Foundational knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems and installation processes
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and construction documents
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and grow within the mechanical construction industry
