Job Summary
Effectively communicate with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders while managing project subconsultants. Schedule and assist with field inspections and project documentation, leading the team to provide QA for construction management projects. Deliver constructability reviews, cost estimates, and schedules for design projects, ensuring adherence to all plans and regulations. Implement safety measures throughout the project lifecycle across capital improvement and transportation initiatives. Requires BA/BS in engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience, including 3+ years as a Construction Engineer on similar projects. Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and nights. PMP or CCM certification preferred.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or other related fields
- 5+ years of experience
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- At least 3 years of experience working as a Construction Engineer on capital improvement/transportation projects of similar size and complexity
- Considerable Heavy/Highway construction industry knowledge with emphasis on state requirements and the Greenbook
- Ability to work extended hours, weekends and nights
- Background and motor vehicle check required
Desired Qualifications
- PMP or CCM Certification a plus
- Design-build experience a plus
