Job Summary
Provide constructability and technical design input on temporary works construction designs to ensure compliance with contract specifications and regulatory requirements. Design and draft construction methods for falsework, shoring, temporary bridges, and formwork, then review personal and peer elements to optimize project constructability and cost effectiveness. Submit designs for peer or approval review in an accurate and timely manner, seal approved designs, and conduct forensic analysis for post-construction items to support claims mitigation. Requires a PE/PENG license, 10+ years of experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD, RISA, and MathCAD. Salary ranges from $120,000 to $140,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural or related Engineering field
- Professional Engineering License (PE/PENG)
- 10+ years of experience with temporary works construction practices and constructability innovation techniques
- Proven knowledge of AutoCAD, RISA suite, LARSA and MathCAD
- Proven success with creative, innovative and optimization strategies for construction challenges
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
- Proven interpersonal skills used to defend, clarify and explain construction strategies and designs
- Clear, concise and efficient technical writing skills used in calculation packages
- Able to self-prioritize and track individual work with limited oversight
- Able and driven to mentor developing engineering team
- Able to set clear expectations and support team to reach Company and departmental goals
