Job Summary
Act as a liaison between contractors, departments, and design teams to gather information for bid packages and review submissions for design and construction. Coordinate on-site construction activities to ensure materials and crews are available, while tracking contract status, inspecting projects, and producing meeting minutes. Assure contractor compliance with safety guidelines by conducting regular site inspections and meetings. Track and log submittals, Requests For Information, and change orders, analyze contract provisions, and assist in creating the Master Project Schedule. Supervise file maintenance and monitor projects through the warranty period. Requires an associate's degree in construction management and three years of experience in commercial, industrial, or municipal settings, plus a valid NYS Driver's License.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college with an associate's degree in construction management, building construction or related field
- Three (3) years of professional part-time work experience, or its part-time equivalent, in construction management or project supervision
- Two (2) years of which must have been in a commercial, industrial, or municipal setting
- Five (5) years of paraprofessional or professional level work experience, or its part-time equivalent, in building trades and/or construction
- Two (2) of which must have been in a management or supervisory capacity
- An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B)
- Two (2) years of the work experience described in A & B must have occurred in a commercial, industrial or municipal setting
- Must have valid NYS Driver's License
