Job Summary
Construction Engineer at NorthWestern Energy in Great Falls, MT, provides engineering support for gas and electric growth, expansion projects, extensions, rebuilds, relocations, and assists with operating electric and natural gas utilities. Designs electric and natural gas facilities, supervises projects and construction crews, performs engineering analyses, drafts technical reports, conducts field investigations, surveys routes, and compiles cost estimates and project-specific capital budgets. Requires a BS in Engineering; a Professional Engineer license is preferred; knowledge of SAP, line design, and DDS; familiarity with International Fuel Gas Code, NESC, NEC, and DOT is preferred; valid driver’s license is required and on-call after-hours duties may occur. Telecommuting is negotiable as part-time within the Great Falls Division service territory after completing in-office training.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Engineering
- Valid driver's license
- Experience with SAP, line design and DDS preferred
- Knowledge of International Fuel Gas Code, NESC, NEC, and the DOT. Part 191 and 192 is preferred
