Job Summary
Apply standard construction engineering techniques to assigned projects while identifying changed conditions and tracking performance trends. Coordinate pre-construction activities including obtaining excavation permits, conducting grade surveys, and managing equipment delivery and staging. Provide technical support for civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, or chemical disciplines and evaluate construction operability. Perform medium to very heavy work, including lifting, pushing, and pulling, while adhering to safety policies and participating in Safety Work Groups. Work in environmental restoration atmospheres with potential exposure to hazardous materials, noise, and weather extremes. Maintain "L" or "Q" clearance and complete required site training within 30 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in a related field
- 1 year of applicable experience
- 3 years of applicable experience
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Pre-Employment Physical
- Drug Screen
- The ability to obtain/maintain 'L' or 'Q' Clearance, or HSPD12 Uncleared badge one year from hire date
- Background Check
- Any site required training
- Ability to wear respirator and other protective equipment to enter various types of potentially hazardous areas
- Ability to carry several instruments/equipment or tools while walking extensively
- Ability to perform medium to very heavy work, exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, nonrepetitive, up to 50 pounds of force frequently
- Ability to perform medium to very heavy work, exerting more than 20 pounds of force constantly, repetitive
- Ability to work in confined areas, tanks, heat stress conditions, high noise and areas with radiation and chemical hazards
- Ability to work in environmental conditions including weather or temperature extremes and inclement weather
- Radiological training
- Ability to operate company vehicle
- Adherence to all safety and DOT regulations and procedures
