Job Summary
Construction Engineer responsible for turning transportation projects from plans into reality, coordinating teams, evaluating materials and design conditions, and applying technical expertise to resolve complex construction challenges. Acts as a bridge between design and execution, monitors progress for quality and compliance, provides recommendations to keep projects on schedule, and leads project delivery with opportunities to mentor staff and build client relationships. Requires strong communication, supervisory abilities, and familiarity with civil engineering practices, QA/QC, DOT/Toll Road standards, and office software. Also involved in client communications, cost considerations, and field documentation to ensure safe, efficient project outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) or equivalent in Engineering is required. A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is preferred.
- 5-10 years of related Construction observation experience working with moderately complex construction plans is preferred.
- Familiarity with documentation requirements and inspection procedures is preferred.
