Job Summary
Serve as a liaison with contractors and conduct on-site observations to coordinate construction activities. Maintain job site records including daily reports, meeting minutes, approval drawings, and pay requests. Observe and document construction activities while monitoring progress schedules and shop drawing logs. Review pay requests and verify completed work. Perform general civil engineering and client service duties. Requires a B.S. in Civil/Construction Engineering with 5+ years of experience, PE license preferred, and past IDOT or Illinois Tollway project experience. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Civil/Construction Engineering from an accredited program with an emphasis on construction engineering
- 5+ years of progressive experience
- Successful applicant must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship
Desired Qualifications
- PE License or ability to obtain within one year preferred
- Past IDOT or Illinois Tollway project experience
- Construction experience with Chicago DOT/Metra preferred
- Experience with IDOT/Tollway construction management software preferred
