Job Summary
Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations. Install, replace, and repair lighting fixtures, control equipment, and circuit breaker panels while splicing wires to form circuits. Troubleshoot faults in electrical systems, test continuity using test equipment, and perform cable pulls and conduit bending in various environments. Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes. Must hold a valid Red Seal Endorsement as a Construction Electrician. Willingness to work off-hours, including weekends, is required. Join the local IBEW union as a condition of employment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Red Seal Endorsement (RSE) as a Construction Electrician
- Must be willing to work off hours if required including weekends
- Join the Local union (IBEW)
- Must be able to read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications
- Experience in cable pulls in various environments
- Experience in conduit bending with hand benders and hydraulic benders
- Must be able to install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment
- Must be able to install, replace and repair lighting fixtures and electrical control and distribution equipment
- Must be able to splice, join and connect wire to various components to form circuits
- Must be able to test continuity of circuits using test equipment
- Must be able to troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems
- Must be able to remove and replace faulty components
