Job Summary
Construction Drafter positioned with a Manhattan-based design/build firm to create and maintain construction documents for new commercial and residential interiors in NYC, prepare client estimates, and support design changes. The role involves drafting floor-plan layouts and associated drawings in AutoCAD, ensuring code compliance, maintaining revision logs, assisting with estimating, and collaborating with Estimating/Project Managers across projects ranging from $1,000 to $500,000. Requires 2+ years AutoCAD drafting experience, an Associates or Bachelors in Architectural Drafting or related field, field-measurement experience preferred, and the ability to work in-office full-time or part-time in NYC.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree with Architectural Drafting or related
- AutoCAD drafting experience/certification
- 2+ years of experience drafting construction layouts in AutoCAD
- Experience with field measurements is preferred
- Basic estimating knowledge or ability to work in Microsoft Excel to build estimates
- Experience with shop drawings/blueprints
- The ability to work full-time or part-time in office (no remote work available)
