Job Summary
Lead all construction delivery activities for a major airport infrastructure development program, establishing strategic direction and execution plans for terminals, runways, cargo facilities, and external utilities. Provide executive oversight to construction management teams and contractors, ensuring compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and contractual obligations while managing complex interfaces between civil works, MEP systems, and airport operations. Monitor progress against schedules and milestones, lead recovery strategies for delays, and oversee operational readiness, testing, and handover activities. Deliver regular performance reports to senior leadership and support decision-making on cost, schedule, and delivery priorities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Management, or related discipline
- Minimum 25 years of experience in construction management and delivery of major infrastructure projects
- Proven experience leading construction delivery for: International airports, Aviation infrastructure, Mega transportation projects, Large-scale infrastructure programs
- Extensive experience managing complex construction environments involving multiple contractors, consultants, and stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience in senior leadership roles such as Construction Director, Project Director, or equivalent
- Experience working within: Delivery Partner environments, PMC organizations, EPC projects, Client-side project management teams
- Extensive knowledge of construction management principles, methodologies, and best practices
- Strong understanding of airport infrastructure delivery requirements
- Proven ability to manage large construction teams and complex work packages
- Strong knowledge of contract management, construction planning, and project controls
- Experience with international construction standards and contract frameworks
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong decision-making ability with experience managing high-value and high-risk projects
- Ability to operate effectively at executive level within a complex airport development environment
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Engineering Management, Construction Management, or Project Management
- Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng), or equivalent professional registration
- Extensive experience delivering international airport mega-projects
- Knowledge of ICAO, FAA, and international aviation infrastructure requirements
- Experience managing large Design-Build, EPC, PMC, or Delivery Partner contracts
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC contract frameworks
- Experience with airport operational readiness, transition, and handover programs
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams across multiple contractors and project packages
- Strong relationship management experience with airport authorities, government entities, and major stakeholders
