Job Summary

Construction, Design & Quality Manager to provide technical leadership for the design, construction and delivery of high-quality reactive and planned works to existing built assets from inception through to completion. Lead a high-performing team responsible for project management, on-site technical expertise, and quality assurance. Ensure full compliance with Guinness policies and statutory requirements, provide guidance on design, specification, health and safety, and legal matters. Act as a senior representative across internal liaison groups and external agencies, build partnerships, and champion continuous improvement. Oversee adherence to CDQ standards, sign off key gateway stages, and support appointment and performance management of consultants and contractors. Responsible for resource and programme planning for a national portfolio of projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget. Demonstrate experience in leading remote teams, managing contracts and performance of the development supply chain, maximizing use of new technologies, and communicating effectively with senior management. Proficient in construction standards, regulations, health and safety, and modern software tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint; knowledge of non-housing construction may be advantageous.

Required Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent) and/or relevant technical postgraduate qualification e.g. CIOB, RICS, RIBA or equivalent.
