Job Summary
Handle third-party construction defense matters from inception to resolution, including drafting motions, pleadings, discovery demands, and responses. Conduct court appearances, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations while working directly with clients to provide case updates and strategic recommendations. Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex litigation matters, managing multiple cases independently while keeping supervising attorneys and clients informed of status. This Associate role (3-5 years experience) is based in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida, with a focus on professional development through mentorship and an active training program.
Required Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- admission to practice in Florida
- 3-5 years of litigation experience
- Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
- Proven ability to handle multiple matters and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Professional, organized, and able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
