Job Summary
Lead a construction crew by creating a safe, organized work environment and ensuring all members follow safety and construction procedures. Coordinate daily planning, review assignments, and communicate contractual aspects with customers while maximizing crew efficiency. Manage project execution by reading plans, scheduling, coordinating suppliers and subcontractors, and bringing repairs in on time and within budget. Take an active role in interviewing, hiring, and integrating new employees, while providing recommendations for promotions and wage adjustments. Enforce company policies, complete required paperwork, and report time, DOT logs, and vehicle mileage accurately. This role requires 25% travel including overnight trips, with a salary of $38.50 to $41.75 per hour plus bonuses.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years leadership in management in the building construction industry
- OSHA 10 hour certification
- Equipment Operation certification
- Competent Person certification
- Valid class A CDL license
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to operate construction hand tools safely, efficiently and effectively
- Ability to operate specialized equipment safely, efficiently and effectively
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Ability to work at various heights
