Job Summary
Construction Cost & Schedule Engineer (open to all levels) will review capital costs and construction schedules for power generation projects (wind, solar, hydro, thermal) as an Independent Engineer. Responsibilities include cost estimating, project scheduling, reviewing EPC contract exhibits, budgets, forecasts, and schedules; provide Owner’s Engineering and Advisory support; support proposals and technology reviews. Location options include fully remote consideration on a case-by-case basis or a hybrid arrangement with 3 days in a Leidos office near Denver, CO or Framingham, MA. Travel to project sites required; potential international travel. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; proficiency in MS Excel, project scheduling software (Primavera), and the ability to work independently or in a team setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's of Science degree in engineering or construction disciplines with two plus years of experience working on industrial, power delivery, or power generation project design or other relevant experience
- experience in estimating, scheduling, project controls, or project engineering with increasing responsibility
- Field engineering experience during the construction of projects
- Familiarity with Primavera/Project scheduling software
- Active FE/EIT certification with aspiration to obtain PE license or PE license is a plus
- Ability to travel to project sites, including potential international travel
