Job Summary
Coordinate activities between the construction management team, engineering personnel, and contractors to ensure efficient work execution. Support field visits to the workface while logging action items, tracking digital records, and liaising with engineering staff to resolve RFIs. Conduct weekly reviews of contractor-submitted schedules, validate claimed progress, and calculate construction productivity. Raise discrepancies to the Construction Manager for resolution. Utilize mobile field devices and digital systems for administrative support.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience using mobile devices including field tablets
- Strong organizational skills
- Must be able to work in a field-based role with regular visits to the construction workface
- Must be able to coordinate activities between the CMT, engineering team, contractor and operations
- Must be able to support members of the CMT and contractor personnel with the use of digital/computer based systems and mobile field devices
- Must be able to support the CMT members by logging and tracking action items, keeping digital records and general administrative support
- Must be able to support the CMT members by liaising with engineering personnel to get answers to RFI
- Must be able to conduct a weekly review of construction schedules that are submitted by contractors and coordinate feedback from discipline superintendents within the CMT
- Must be able to work with the CMT and contractor to validate claimed schedule progress and raise any discrepancies to the Construction Manager for resolution
- Must be able to track and in some cases calculate construction productivity
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in construction
- Trade Certification, Relevant Diploma or Degree
- Experience with SAP planning and notification modules
