Job Summary
The Construction Estimator/Coordinator is responsible for managing the range of functions required to obtain, bid, and price construction projects. Prepare an accurate scope of work, deliver a complete estimate, and maintain high-quality service with customers, clients, and resource providers. Key duties include analyzing labor/material/time requirements, creating initial scopes and estimates, coordinating with Construction Manager to price bid items, documenting finalized project scopes, coordinating external resources (engineers, inspectors, etc.), assembling organized estimates, and communicating estimates effectively. Requires strong math, superb customer service, effective written and oral communication, proficiency with Xactimate, problem-solving ability, and a valid driving record. Degree or equivalent experience preferred, and full-time commitment with local travel expected. The role emphasizes customer education, understanding upgrades/changes, and ensuring estimates meet client requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years previous construction estimating and/or insurance adjusting experience
- Superb customer service track record
- Effective written and oral communication
- Strong math skills
- Proficient use of XactimateTM estimating software preferred
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Team Player
- Must have a good driving record
- Associates degree or equivalent work experience
