Job Summary
Construction Coordinator position coordinating work activities of crews, contractors, and vendors to execute outage/project work in Michigan (null city) and Indiana (Muncie and Fort Wayne). Responsibilities include planning and organizing outage-related activities, coordinating information and assistance across teams and external partners, providing training and guidance to junior staff, and ensuring environmental and cost considerations are addressed. Requires substantial field and site work, travel more than 50% of the time, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather with exposure to hazardous materials. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field or an associate's technical degree with relevant experience, plus several years in distribution line or distribution engineering, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited university or college or an associate's technical degree and 3 years of experience in design, operations, planning, construction or maintenance of systems and/or equipment
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in distribution line or distribution engineering, or equivalent related experience
- Travel requirements > 50% of the time
- Effective communication with team, management, customers, contractors, vendors and regulatory agencies
- Ability to apply problem-solving skills to resolve technical problems
- Willingness and ability to work outside in all types of weather and exposure to hazardous materials
- Ability to provide training and guidance to lower level employees
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate work activities of others within a work group or with external contractors/vendors
Desired Qualifications
