Job Summary

Develop, coordinate, and oversee complex construction and maintenance project plans for pipeline facilities, processing plants, and storage terminals. Direct, monitor, and schedule contractors, inspectors, and employees while managing project schedules, budgets, and procurement to ensure safety, quality, and cost objectives are met. Identify and select necessary resources, including equipment and materials, and evaluate whether to repair or replace pipe and appurtenances. Compile completion reports, accident reports, and budget recommendations while ensuring compliance with safety policies, ASME standards, and DOT regulations. Respond immediately to dangerous conditions and hazardous situations, including leakage detection and emergency repairs. This advanced role requires independent execution of project plans and serves as a mentor to other employees within the midstream service provider.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of pipeline construction/project management experience in the midstream or oil and gas industry
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proven ability to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget
  • Based in the Permian basin region, or willing to relocate
  • Ability to apply basic math and algebraic formulas
  • Ability to coordinate and execute work projects in their entirety for most effective use of resources
  • Ability to research, compose, reconcile, and prepare reports, invoices, studies, and correspondence
  • Ability to monitor operations and situations to ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to interact, advise and communicate effectively
  • Ability to train and have working knowledge of human resource policies and procedures
  • Ability to compile and prepare reports, recommendations and correspondence
  • Ability to read and interpret manuals, policies, procedures, permits, governmental regulations, engineering plans, maps, job specifications, reports, and correspondence
  • Ability to communicate and/or exchange information or instructions
  • Ability to assist in routine and/or emergency activities such as construction and maintenance; leakage detection and repair; and corrosion control
  • Ability to operate tools and equipment required including computer applications and construction management platforms
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly
  • Ability to stand in an upright position frequently

Desired Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience with and knowledge of the construction, maintenance and operation of pipeline systems and appurtenances preferred
  • Experience and training related to: Transmission/gathering pipeline operations
  • Experience and training related to: Pipeline construction
  • Experience and training related to: Processing plants
  • Experience and training related to: Storage facilities
  • Experience and training related to: Company/governmental operating and safety procedures
  • Experience and training related to: Cathodic protection
  • Experience and training related to: Compression
  • Experience and training related to: Safety
  • Experience and training related to: Right-of-way
  • Experience and training related to: Regulation and measurement
  • Experience and training related to: Capital and OandM budgets

  • Experience and training related to: API 1104
  • Experience with construction and/or maintenance projects and knowledge of project execution
