Job Summary
Coordinate construction projects by assisting the Construction Manager with planning, budgeting, and schedule development. Manage project documentation, contracts, permits, and drawings while tracking progress, milestones, and deliverables. Monitor subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely material delivery and support site visits for quality and safety inspections. Facilitate communication among stakeholders, prepare reports, and resolve project issues through collaboration. Prepare and maintain accurate project records, presentations, and financial tracking to support cost-effective execution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, electrical engineering, or a related area, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3-5 years construction management experience on large commercial/multi-disciplined/industrial, utility, solar, or wind energy projects
- Solid understanding of construction project management principles, processes, and best practices
- Familiarity with construction industry regulations, codes, and safety standards
- Proficiency in project coordination and administrative support, with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling project documentation, contracts, and other project-related information
- Proficiency in using project management software, spreadsheets, and other tools to track project progress and maintain project documentation
- Ability to analyze and interpret project plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance and quality control
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to proactively identify issues and propose solutions
- Collaboration and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Flexibility and adaptability to handle changing priorities and project requirements
- Knowledge of construction procurement processes and the ability to assist in coordinating subcontractor and vendor activities
- Understanding of cost control and budget management principles to support the Construction Manager in financial tracking and reporting
- Ability to work outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits
