Job Summary
Document compliance status with contract schedules, specifications, and shop drawings by observing and inspecting construction sites to report potential noncompliance as directed. Complete daily field reports detailing construction activities and escalate issues per Reclamation officials' instructions. Perform 70% of duties on-site, including walking, climbing, and inspecting structures like tanks, vaults, and pipelines, while adhering to OSHA 35 certification and safety gear requirements. This 70% field role supports the Bureau of Reclamation's Experienced Services Program at the Pojoaque Field Office in New Mexico, requiring local travel and personal transportation.
Required Qualifications
- HS/GED Degree
- minimum of 5 years of additional experience in Construction Inspection
- Experience with Windows
- Experience with MS Word
- Experience with MS Outlook
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat
- OSHA 35 certification
- Reclamation Safety and Health Standards Training
- Valid driver's license
- Auto insurance
- Own personal transportation
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
- Ability to walk on uneven ground
- Ability to descend and climb ladders
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Ability to work more than eight hours in a day
- Ability to perform frequent walking, climbing, stooping, and bending
