Job Summary
Manager, Quality Assurance for Capital Projects overseeing QA systems, data management, and governance, ensuring integration of QA practices with field execution; directs setup and maintenance of QA systems for AORs, EORs, GCs, and Construction Managers, maintains the proprietary cost database, performs detailed scope reviews and bid leveling, reviews construction documents for cost optimization and value engineering during preconstruction, evaluates third-party consultants to ensure alignment with QA procedures, participates in 50% and 90% site walks to validate QA-system integration in active projects, and trains internal/external teams on software tools and processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- OSHA 10 certification
- Valid California driver’s license
- 5-8 years of experience in multi-family construction
- Advanced proficiency in Smartsheet (workflows/automations) and Google Workspace (Sheets/Docs)
- Strong capability in bid leveling, quantity take-offs, and scope definition
- Comprehensive understanding of construction contracts, general conditions, and consultant agreements
- Ability to train internal and external teams on complex software tools and technical processes
