Job Summary
Join Lamar Advertising as a Billboard Installer, where you'll install and maintain billboards while working independently. Responsibilities include handling large advertisements, ensuring proper assembly, performing maintenance tasks such as tightening bolts and changing light bulbs, and using power/manual tools safely. This role requires working at heights up to 200 feet, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage work schedules. A high school diploma and a valid driver's license are required, along with the completion of an OSHA 10-hour Construction course.
Required Qualifications
- A valid driver’s license is required
- Ability to complete OSHA 10-hour Construction course required
- Strong communication skills—ability to speak and read English fluently
- Ability to work at heights up to 100 feet above the ground
- Ability to work alone and manage your work schedule effectively
- Ability to document installations, through photographs and written logs
- Ability to climb heights and work at heights above ground safely
- Willingness to work and get along well with others
Desired Qualifications
- Basic computer skills including Internet navigation and Microsoft Word & Excel
- Working knowledge of electrical skills and techniques
- Working knowledge of fabrication skills and techniques
- Skill in reading technical documents, such as blueprints and diagrams
- Ability to safely use construction equipment
- Skill in the practical applications of mathematics, in relation to construction and operations tasks
