Job Summary
Develop loan business in the Residential Construction industry by calling on potential and existing clients. Compile and analyze credit data to offer recommendations for approval through loan presentation to the loan committee. Manage the departmental loan portfolio by servicing existing relationships, handling exceptions, and overseeing draw processes during the construction phase. Inspect construction for conformance with approved plans and ensure files include complete documentation for payment receipts. Control disbursements of construction loan proceeds as work progresses and collect or workout non-performing loans. Contact title companies, insurance agents, and accountants when necessary. Requires a college degree in finance or business, minimum three years of related lending experience, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. May require travel to branch locations, client sites, and attendance at events after normal business hours.
Required Qualifications
- College degree in finance, business or related field
- Minimum 3 years related lending experience or combination of experience and education
- Proven ability to follow standard policies and procedures in lending practices; make appropriate decisions regarding client request
- Ability to handle more complex transactions
- Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, organize work, and set priorities
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office applications
- May require travel to branch locations, client locations and/or client construction sites
- May require attendance at events after normal business hours
