Job Summary
Advise architects, engineers, and other design professionals on legal and business matters, including risk management, project delivery, and contract administration. Draft, review, and negotiate professional services agreements and construction-related contracts while providing practical day-to-day legal guidance throughout the lifecycle of construction and development projects. Assist clients with dispute avoidance and resolution strategies and support litigation and dispute matters when necessary. Requires 8+ years of experience in construction law, AIA contract knowledge, and New York bar admission. Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in construction law
- Experience with AIA contracts
- Admission to practice in New York
- Ability to serve as outside general counsel to sophisticated design and construction clients
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and client counseling skills

- Experience handling construction litigation, professional liability matters, or design defect disputes
