Job Summary
Construction Associate Project Manager responsible for overseeing multiple steel/construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with building and safety regulations, managing budgets and schedules, coordinating with subcontractors and workers, preparing progress and status reports, and maintaining project documentation. Requires 5+ years of supervisory experience, knowledge of OSHA safety rules, construction management processes, the ability to read architectural and structural drawings, proficiency with MS Project, scaffolding certification, and strong written/oral communication. BS in construction management, architecture, or engineering (or 10+ years of advanced supervisory experience with related trades) and the flexibility to work a varied schedule. Fluency in multiple languages is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of steel/construction supervision experience
- Five (5) or more years' experience under a state-licensed builder/contractor
- Knowledge of OSHA and safety requirements related to construction
- Knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods
- Understanding of all facets of the construction process
- Knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards
- Excellent time and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to read architectural and structural drawings
- Effective written and oral communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Project Management software (e.g., MS Project)
- Scaffolding Certification
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule
- Educational Requirements: BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field or; High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 10 years of experience in advanced skills training in supervising, electrical, plumbing and other building trades areas
- Drug screening, as permitted by, and consistent with, applicable law
- Physical requirements include ability to lift up to 80 pounds and long periods of standing
