Construction Assistant Project Manager

Assistant Project Manager will be trained in project management duties, shadow and be mentored by a full Project Manager, and will assist in supervision and technical management on construction project sites from bid preparation through job close out documentation to the customer. Responsibilities include reading and understanding contract scope and changes, coordinating pre-job meetings, managing manpower and scheduling, budgeting and cost tracking, handling submittals and O&M documentation, overseeing large purchase orders and subcontractors, ensuring production/quality/safety compliance, and maintaining clear communications with field leaders and customers. Requires strong project management, analytical, and negotiation skills, plus excellent written and oral communication, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Minimum qualifications include electrical construction knowledge from an electrical apprenticeship or a bachelor's degree in construction engineering management or related field, and 2-3 years of relevant project experience. Preferred qualifications include leadership experience, additional construction management education, estimator/project supervisor experience, and familiarity with prequalification, pre-job activities, and change order processes.
